Built-In Reports

Sales Reports → Daily Sales Summary, Product Sales Report, Category Sales Report, Hourly Sales Report, Discount Report, Payment Method Report.

Generating Reports

Quick Reports
1. Go to AnalyticsReports
2. Select a report from the list
3. Set the date range
4. Select location(s) (if multi-location)
5. Click Generate
6. View on screen or export

Custom Reports
1. Go to AnalyticsCustom Reports
2. Click New Report
3. Select data sources (e.g., transactions, products, customers)
4. Choose columns to include
5. Add filters (e.g., date range, category, location)
6. Add grouping (e.g., by day, by category, by employee)
7. Add sorting (e.g., revenue descending, date ascending)
8. Choose output format (table, chart, or both)
9. Save the report for future use

Report Builder → Drag and drop fields from the data dictionary. Apply filters with a visual filter builder. Create calculated fields (e.g., revenue per square foot). Add multiple data sources and join them. Create pivot tables for cross-tabulation. Add charts and visualizations. Preview before saving.

Exporting Data

Export Formats → PDF (best for sharing and printing), Excel (best for further analysis), CSV (best for importing into other systems), JSON (best for API integration), HTML (best for web embedding).

Export Options → Current View (exactly what you see on screen), All Data (all rows, not just the visible page), Filtered (only the filtered data), Formatted (include colors, fonts, and formatting), Raw (plain data without formatting).

Scheduling Exports
1. Generate a report
2. Click Schedule Export
3. Set frequency: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Custom
4. Set day and time (e.g., "Every Monday at 8 AM")
5. Choose recipients (email addresses)
6. Choose format (PDF, Excel, CSV)
7. Click Save Schedule

Compliance Exports

Inspector-Ready Reports → Pre-formatted reports for regulator requirements. Include all required fields and metadata. Automatic formatting for state-specific requirements. One-click generation for any date range.
Audit Trail → Every transaction, adjustment, and system change. Immutable logs with timestamps and user IDs. Exportable for any date range. Tamper-proof digital signatures.
Data Retention → All data is retained for the required period (varies by state). Archived data is available for historical reporting. Anonymized data is used for trend analysis after retention period. Export data before retention period expires if needed for legal reasons.

Report Security

Access Controls → Owners can access all reports. Managers can access reports for their locations. Budtenders have limited report access. Accountants can access financial reports only. All access is logged for audit purposes.
