State Compliance Configuration
How state selection seeds compliance settings.
State Compliance Configuration
Selecting your state during onboarding seeds a static compliance configuration. This is the starting point for your tax and limit settings, not a dynamic rule engine.
What state selection configures
When you select a state, DubLedger auto-fills:
- Default tax rates: state excise tax, standard sales tax, and typical local rates.
- Purchase limits: daily and monthly gram limits for recreational and medical customers.
- Age requirements: 21+ for recreational, 18+ for medical.
- Regulatory category mapping: maps your product categories to state-required categories.
Reviewing and adjusting values
- Go to Settings → Compliance.
- Review the auto-filled purchase limits and tax rates.
- Adjust any values to match your local jurisdiction or license conditions.
- Click Save.
Important notes
- DubLedger does not enforce a dynamic, state-specific rule engine beyond these static config values.
- You are responsible for verifying that limits, tax rates, and category mappings match your current state and local regulations.
- Always confirm changes with your compliance officer or regulator before going live.
