The Catalog tab lets you create reusable product templates that can be activated across multiple locations.

Creating a Catalog Product

1. Go to Products → Catalog tab.
2. Click Add Catalog Product.
3. Enter:
- Name: Product name (e.g., "Blue Dream Flower").
- Brand: Brand or cultivator name.
- Category: Flower, Concentrates, Edibles, Vapes, Pre-Rolls, Topicals, Tinctures, Accessories.
- Regulatory Category: Auto-mapped from category based on your state's tracking system.
- Strain Type: Indica, Sativa, Hybrid, CBD, or N/A.
- Strain Name: Specific strain (e.g., "Blue Dream").
- Description: Full product description for customers and staff.
- THC % / CBD %: Cannabinoid percentages.
- THC mg / CBD mg: For edibles and tinctures.
- Weight: Default weight in grams.
- Tags: Product tags for filtering.
- Image: Product image.
4. Click Save.

Activating a Catalog Product

To add a catalog product to a location's inventory:

1. Go to Products → Catalog tab.
2. Find the product and click Activate.
3. Select the target location.
4. Enter location-specific data:
- SKU: Unique SKU for this location.
- Quantity: Initial stock level.
- Unit Price: Retail price at this location.
- Cost Price: Wholesale cost.
- Batch Number: Internal batch tracking.
- METRC Package Tag: State tracking ID.
- Harvest Date: When harvested.
- Expiration Date: If applicable.
- Lab Test URL: Link to lab results.
5. Click Activate.

The product is now in that location's inventory and available for sale.

Catalog Benefits

- Consistency: Product information is managed once, applied everywhere.
- Efficiency: No re-entering product details for each location.
- Accuracy: Changes to description, THC%, or image update across all locations.
- Scalability: Easily add new locations by activating existing catalog products.

Regulatory Categories

The system automatically maps your product categories to state-required regulatory categories:
- METRC Default: Standard METRC category mapping.
- METRC Packaged: For packaged goods (edibles, beverages).
- BioTrack: BioTrack-specific categories.

This ensures compliance reporting uses the correct category names.
