DubLedger supports multiple payment methods to accommodate your customers' preferences and your business needs.

Cash Payments
Processing Cash
1. Select "Cash" as the payment method
2. Enter the amount tendered (what the customer gives you)
3. The system calculates change due automatically
4. The cash drawer opens automatically (if connected)
5. Count back the change and complete the sale
Cash Drawer Management
- Set cash thresholds for automatic alerts
- Track cash in/out transactions
- Run end-of-day cash drawer reports
- Support for multiple cash drawers per location
Cash Discounts
- Configure cash discounts to encourage cash payments
- Discounts are applied automatically when cash is selected

Debit Cards
- Integrated PIN debit processing

- Receipt shows last 4 digits of card only
Credit Cards

Card Processing Setup
1. Go to Settings → Payment Processing
2. Enter your merchant account credentials
3. Configure processing rates
4. Test with a small transaction
5. Enable for live transactions

Pay-by-Bank
- Direct bank transfer (ACH) processing
- Lower fees than card processing
- Takes 1-2 business days to settle
- Great for large wholesale orders
Digital Wallets
- Apple Pay and Google Pay support

House Accounts
- Extend credit to trusted customers

Split Payments
When to Use
- Customer wants to pay part cash, part card
- Using a gift card plus another payment method
- Splitting between multiple customers
How to Process
1. In the payment screen, tap "Split Payment"
2. Enter the first amount and select payment method
3. Enter the second amount and select payment method
4. Continue until the total is covered
5. Complete the transaction

Refunds and Chargebacks
Processing Refunds
- Full refunds: Return the entire amount to the original payment method
- Partial refunds: Return a specific amount
- Cash refunds: Return cash regardless of original payment method (check local laws)
- Card refunds: Must be returned to the same card
Chargeback Protection
- All transactions include detailed metadata
- Receipts include product details, ID verification, and compliance checks
- Strong evidence for dispute resolution
- Support team assists with chargeback responses
