Step 3: Team Setup

Invite your team members so they can start using DubLedger.

Inviting Team Members

For each team member:
1. Enter their first and last name.
2. Enter their work email address (invitation sent here).
3. Enter their mobile number (for SMS alerts and 2FA).
4. Select a role:
- Budtender: Processes sales, scans IDs, applies discounts (up to limit).
- Manager: Full operational access including inventory, reports, and settings.
- Owner: Complete access to everything including billing and integrations.
5. Assign location access (for multi-location operators).
6. Click Send Invitation.

Invitation Process

- The team member receives an email with a secure invitation link.
- They click the link and create their password.
- They set up their profile and optionally enable 2FA.
- The invitation expires after 7 days.
- You can resend invitations from Settings → Employees.

Skipping This Step

You can skip team setup during onboarding and invite team members later via Settings → Employees. However, at least one budtender account is needed before you can process your first sale.

Roles Summary

| Role | What They Can Do |
|------|------------------|
| Budtender | Process sales, scan IDs, view products, apply limited discounts |
| Manager | Everything budtenders can do + manage inventory, run reports, void transactions, manage registers |
| Owner | Everything + manage employees, billing, integrations, and all settings |
